What is Coordinated Entry?

Coordinated Entry is a streamlined process used by communities to quickly identify, assess, refer, and connect people experiencing homelessness to local housing and services. Instead of navigating multiple independent agencies, a person can complete a single standard assessment to match with available community resources. Guilford County’s Coordinated Entry System targets individuals and families experiencing literal homelessness, defined as lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate residence, or those at imminent risk of homelessness, as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

How Do I Access Coordinated Entry?

By Phone:
Call the Guilford County Coordinated Entry Access Line at 336-553-2715. The hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Voicemails will be returned within 48 hours.

In Person:
Cultural Arts Center (Greensboro) – Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
High Point Public Library (High Point) – Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
