Post-Overdose Response Team (PORT)

Working in close coordination with Guilford County Emergency Medical Services, our clinical social workers and peer support specialists reach out to individuals following an overdose to offer support, resources, and connection. There’s no judgment and no pressure, just help when it’s needed most.

PORT offers on-the-spot clinical intervention, peer support from people with lived experience, treatment referrals, case management, and overdose prevention education, including naloxone. If you or someone you care about has recently experienced an overdose, GCSTOP is here to help. Whether it is connecting to our Syringe Service Program, or learning about our no-barrier/no-cost buprenorphine clinic, you don't have to navigate what comes next alone.
